It’s been a while since there was a new post here. I fell into the abyss. The I’m too busy, I can’t keep up, excuses abyss.
But we won’t talk about that.
We will all agree that we’re past it now.
DH and I recently returned from a weekend yoga retreat in the Berkshires. After a rainy, cold two and a half hour drive we arrived at an historic house in Stockbridge, MA called Taggart House. This place was utopic for the yoga retreat! My picture of the exterior does not do this place justice.
Upon arrival we were greeted by these two cute chinese dragons that are painted on the floor in the front vestibule.
Over the course of the weekend we ate fabulous food prepared by Chef Paco Rodriguez. I haven’t eaten this healthy in ages. It was so nice to not have to think about food. To not worry and fret about what to serve that would not have the Things complaining. That was my Mother-in-Law’s problem for the weekend!
Participated in daily meditation and Yoga practices led by Kitty Blincoe. We experienced Restorative yoga by firelight.
Had a day trip to Kripalu, visited the gift shop (who doesn’t like shopping!). Walked silently through the twisty, turny path in the Labyrinth. Made it to the middle and back.
Had a guided tour of Mass MoCA. Practiced Yoga Nidra amid the art. And there were a couple of snorers amid the group, tsk, tsk!
And this out of place Dragonfly was on a front pillar to see us off after check-out on Sunday.
All in all a good use of four days in November.
I am totally jealous of your yoga retreat. Sounds like it was pure heaven!
It was totally a nice get away! So glad we took the time to get away.
