Episode #52 – Embrace Sufficiency with Garnet and Tarot
Welcome to the Crystal Self Healer Podcast. I’m Corissa Weaver. On this podcast, we blend the magic of crystals with the science of psychology to help you break free from chaos, ditch the overwhelm, and master your emotions so you can have more energy, get more done, and feel better every day. Get ready to unlock your intuition and restore your true power as we cover how you can transform your life using crystals and self awareness.
Are you ready to get started? All right, let’s go.
Let me ask you something. Do you ever feel like your goals and dreams are just that: dreams? Like they’re too far away, too impossible for someone like you.
Maybe you’ve caught yourself wondering who are you to want that? Or who are you to think you deserve it? If that’s you, know that you are not alone.
What if you started this new year believing you’re already enough? What if this year wasn’t about chasing after endless goals, hustling harder, or fixing yourself, but instead about realizing that you already embody sufficiency?
Now I know that might feel counter-intuitive with all the noise this time of year; the resolutions, the to-do lists, the new year, new you mantras. But here’s what I want to ask you: what if this year wasn’t about doing more. What if you could simply allow yourself to receive all the beauty and abundance life has to offer?
If you’ve been wondering how you can release the constant sense of lack, this episode is for you. We’re going to explore how to embrace sufficiency with Garnet and tarot. You’ll learn how to shift into a mindset of trusting you have what you need and feel grounded in what truly matters. By the end of this episode, you’ll be ready to use this perspective to let go of the chase for more and fuel intentional and meaningful action.
Let’s start with where so many of us find ourselves, especially right now. The pressure is everywhere: set goals, reach higher, do more, be more. And while there’s nothing wrong with wanting to grow or improve, this constant push can leave you feeling like you’re never enough as you are.
The nine of Pentacles came up in a recent weekly crystal and tarot forecast inside the Charmed Community. More specifically, it was representing the energy to call in position. This gave me pause because it felt like a direct challenge to the new year’s culture of endless striving.
This card invites you to stop and ask: what if I’m already enough? What if I don’t need to fix or change myself to be worthy of my dreams?
It’s not always easy to embrace the self concept of sufficiency. The concept that you already are and have enough, enough resources, skills and worth, to navigate life meaningfully and achieve your goals.
How often have you set a goal, whether for the new year or in general, and then sat back overwhelmed because your instinct is to think you don’t know how to get there, how to achieve it. You’re unsure how to close the gap and left wondering if you can make what feels impossible real.
This pressure to set goals, feeds scarcity and feelings of unworthiness. Like I need to achieve this one specific thing to feel successful. So you start on an endless path of improving yourself, learning new skills, constantly feeling like you need to prove yourself, fix yourself, hone new skills.
For so many people, the idea of sufficiency feels foreign when your value is tied to external factors or validation from others, you won’t feel like you’re enough.
Sufficiency is deeply tied to the belief that you are inherently worthy. It moves away from external validation or accumulation and focuses on internal richness and resilience. It’s about trusting that you are not lacking and that you can build from the foundation you’ve already created.
We’re not going to get into goal setting here. If you’re interested in that, I invite you to go back and listen to the previous two episodes where we focused on reflection and aligning your desires. But today, we are going to take all that and take it a step deeper and look at what the nine of Pentacles is really suggesting to us here.
In this card, there is a woman standing in a lush garden, surrounded by vines, heavy with fruit. She’s wears a flowing robe and a Falcon perches calmly on her hand. This imagery speaks to abundance, self-sufficiency and grace. It’s a moment of pause of being fully present and appreciating what has been cultivated.
The nine of Pentacles isn’t about perfection or having it all figured out, or reaching some final destination. Instead it’s about recognizing what’s already within you and around you. That lush garden didn’t grow overnight. It’s the result of steady, intentional care. It speaks to the beauty that comes from nurturing what you have instead of chasing what you lack.
It reminds me of something Abraham Hicks teaches: “you never get it done.” Life is an eternal unfolding, and there will always be more to do, more to create, more to dream of. But instead of being discouraged by that, what if we could feel excited about it? What if we could just let go of taking score and simply enjoy the journey?
My grandfather once gave the advice that “there’s never the right time, just now.” that aligns here because it’s not about waiting for perfection or for every condition to be ideal before stepping into action.
Think about how often you hold yourself back because you’re waiting for the right time. Whether it’s starting a project, pursuing a dream, or even something as life-changing as having children. You might convince yourself that you need to be more prepared, more skilled or more accomplished before you began. But the truth is, that perfect time never comes.
You may not feel completely ready, but you are enough right now to make the first step. It’s a reminder that we don’t need to wait until everything is flawless to start nurturing the life we want.
Consider how this applies to any area of your life. Maybe you’re waiting to feel more confident before you speak up in a meeting. Or you think you need another certification before you can start your dream business. But what have you trusted the skills, wisdom and experience you already have as enough to begin? What if you believed that growth and learning will happen as part of the process?
One of the more uncomfortable things I’ve observed my clients struggle with is sitting in the recognition of what they have actually achieved and done.
You see, they are so used to feeling like they don’t deserve recognition or praise that when they do get the degree or the promotion, the time spent feeling good about themselves or celebrating that achievement is fleeting.
Instead of letting that moment sink in, they want to move on to the next thing, often believing that what they have done still isn’t enough, still not seeing their own sufficiency.
Sufficiency isn’t something that magically appears after the next accomplishment. It’s a state of being that starts when you decide to honor who you are, where you are.
And that’s the invitation the nine of Pentacles is offering to you. To stop looking toward the future where you think you will feel ready or deserving, but instead to recognize that you are already standing in that garden.
So spend some time reflecting on all the conditions that you’ve attached to your goals and dreams. What exactly do you think you need to be worthy of it? What exactly is it that you’ve defined as being ready?
Then think about a time when you hesitated to move forward because you felt unprepared. Did waiting to feel ready actually change your abilities or your worthiness? Or did it keep you stuck in a cycle of doubt? The shift here is recognizing that you’re ready and enough to take the next step.
That’s sufficiency. When you take the pressure of all those things you need to do to have your end result and you get to see them through the lens of what’s possible instead of what’s missing.
This shift from waiting for readiness to choosing sufficiency invites you to step out of the endless loop of, “I need more” and into the truth of “I am enough to begin.” You don’t have to wait to feel complete or deserving. You don’t have to earn your worth through doing or achieving. Sufficiency as here, right now, when you allow yourself to see it.
Recognizing your own sufficiency will feel uncomfortable at first because it asks you to challenge a narrative you may have carried around for years. The idea that you need to do more or be more to be worthy.
When you’ve spent much of your life measuring yourself against external achievements or other people’s approval, the concept of being enough as you are might feel foreign or even unsettling.
It’s also easy to dismiss your own accomplishments because they feel too small or ordinary. Notice how often you dismiss your own accomplishments through thoughts like “that doesn’t count.”, “It wasn’t a big deal.”, or “Anyone could have done that.”
The things you dismiss are often the very seeds of your garden. Each time you’ve shown up for yourself, faced a fear, or navigated a challenge, you’ve been cultivating sufficiency. Even if you didn’t realize it at the time. This is where compassion comes in.
It’s okay if you can’t immediately see yourself as sufficient. It doesn’t mean you’re failing. It just means this is new. Start small. Begin by noticing one thing you’ve done today, however simple, that reflects your growth or effort. Maybe it’s something as basic as keeping a promise to yourself or showing kindness to someone else. These small moments matter, and they’re evidence of the sufficiency that’s already within you.
During the reading and the Charmed Community Garnet was recommended as a crystal to support in this work, and here’s why:
Garnet is associated with the root chakra which governs your sense of safety, stability, and grounding. When your root chakra is balanced you feel secure in who you are and where you are in life. This grounding energy will help you feel anchored in the present moment so you can recognize an embody sufficiency.
Garnet supports you in boosting self confidence and courage by fostering a stronger connection to your inner worth and your capabilities. You are reminded of your inherent power so you can take that first step knowing you have what it takes to learn and grow into your future self.
Garnet is associated with abundance and prosperity, but not strictly limited to the material wealth alone. It will support you in appreciating the abundance already present in your life so you can see the resources, strengths, and achievements you already possess, evidence of you already being sufficient.
Garnet will also help bringing clarity to what truly matters to you so you can connect with your authentic desires. It will help you move away from external validation and toward embracing your unique journey.

Before we wrap up today, I wanted to leave you with a mini ritual you can do to shift into sufficiency.
Start by lighting a candle, holding a Garnet crystal, and acknowledging and honoring your sufficiency.
You can repeat the mantra. “I am enough. I honor all that I have and all that I am.”
Then spend a few moments reflecting and journaling on all the things you’ve done, accomplished, and demonstrated as your own sufficiency.
