Since Pearl is the birthstone of June I thought I would dig into my box of beads and see what I could make using Pearls. Since I had a few hoops in my drawer I decided to make Peridot and Pearl Hoop Earrings. There is something about the combination of Peridot and Pearl that is refreshing and pure. The crisp yellow-green of the Peridot reminds me of a refreshing Granny Smith Apple and the soothing, creamy white of the Pearl conjures up images of purity and innocence.
For this project you will need the following items
2 20mm Sterling Silver Hoops
2 8mm Jump Rings, twisted
42 2″ Headpins
2 6mm Pearls
40 Peridot rondelles
Tools for this project are
Needle Nose Pliers
Round Nose Pliers
Side Cutter Pliers
Flat Nose Pliers
For each of the 40 Peridot rondelles and the 2 Pearls you will need to place them onto one of the 2″ Headpins. Each gem then needs to be secured on the Headpin with a wire wrapped loop.
Open the jump ring.
Feed on 3 Peridot wire loops, 1 Pearl wire loop and another 3 Peridot wire loops then close your jump ring.
Feed 7 Peridot wire loops onto the earring hoop, place the jump ring with the Peridot and Pearl, then add the final 7 Peridot wire loops onto the earring hoop.
Repeat with the remaining earring hoop and gems. And there you have Peridot and Pearl Hoop Earrings!
